是日也，丙午元宵。 《説文解字》：元為始，宵為夜。元者，萬物之始，歲首之元，開新啟運，含生生不息之義；宵者，清夜之稱，月滿之時，燈影交輝，藏人間團圓之歡。 今夕上元，歲在丙午，春和景明，皓月當空。一元方啟，萬象更新；良宵一夕，燈火千門。古人以元月之首夜為元宵，取其始於新、圓於夜，既是春節之圓滿收尾，亦是新歲之昂揚開篇。 觀夫世間風俗，賞燈、猜謎、食圓、聚歡，皆承古意。燈以照夜，喻心明眼亮；圓以喻情，願家睦人和。字裡藏天道，節中寓人心。一燈續古，一圓承情，一文載道，一筆傳神。 元以開萬物，宵以聚人心。願此歲此宵，山河安穩，人月雙圓，文脈長存，福澤綿延。 
On this day, the Lantern Festival of the Bingwu Year. According to *Shuowen Jiezi*, "Yuan" means begining, and "Xiao" means night. "Yuan" signifies the origin of all things and the start of the year, inaugurating new beginnings and carrying the meaning of ceaselessvitality; "Xiao" refers to the clear night, the time of the full moon, when the glow of lanterns and moonlight intermingle, concealing the joy of familon. Tonight is the Shangyuan Festival of the Bingwu Year. The spring is mild, the scenery bright, and the bright moon hangs high in the sky. A ncle has just begun, and all things are renewed; this fine night sees thousands of doors aglow with lights. The ancients named the first night of the first mon "Yuanxiao," taking its meaning of beginning in the new and fullness in the night; it is both the perfect conclusion to the Spring Festival and the spirited opening of the new yearbserving the customs of the world—viewing lanterns, guessing riddles, eating tangyuan, and gathering for joy—all carry ancient sentiments. Lanterns illuminate the night,zing clarity of mind and vision; tangyuan symbolizes affection, wishing for family harmony and peace among people. The characters conceal the laws of heaven, and the festival embodies thehuman heart. A single lantern connects to the past, a single tangyuan carries emotion, a single text bears the Way, and a single brushstroke conveys the sprit. "Yuan" opens the myriad things, and "Xiao" gathers the hearts of people. May this year and this night bring peace to the land and rivers, a perfect union ople and moon, the enduring continuity of culture, and blessings that last forever.
